Biography
Lohai is a magnetic collaboration between Devon Yesberger, a keys player, songwriter and producer, and Alita Moses, an acclaimed vocalist and independent artist. Brought together by a Monday night jam session in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn, Devon and Alita began collaborating in late 2015, trading song ideas, playing duo shows and creating demos. Within a year, they released their first single as Lohai called “Baby I Know You Will” and have been inspiring audiences in New York City and beyond ever since.
Since their early days, Lohai has grown into a buzzworthy five piece band that features the wonderful rhythms of Jordan Rose on drums, Justin Goldner on bass and Asher Kurtz on guitar. Their unique sound demonstrates their wide range of influences, from their collective jazz roots to Alita’s penchant for modern pop music and Devon’s love of heartfelt lyrics and old school sounds. Lohai is also known for their creative mashups of unusual covers such as Pusher Love Girl and A Case Of You, or Every Breath You Take and Everywhere, to name a few. Their live show is electrifying and inspiring to audiences of all persuasions and has led them to perform everywhere from California to the Eastern Seaboard and even The Netherlands and Germany.
