Biography

Freedom’s Boombox is a trio of singers from America. Without any instruments, they rely on their 3 voices to turn pop songs into a cappella music. It’s beatboxing, it’s harmony, and it’s all built to bring you into the show. They clearly have fun on stage, and it’s paid off! With a cappella, they’ve performed in over 50 countries, joined multiple tours as cultural ambassadors, and won dozens of awards from CARA, ICCA, Harmony Sweepstakes, HIMPFF, and Vocal Asia.

In 2016–their first year–Freedom’s Boombox rose from internet favorites to international touring trio. They started as a collaborative music side-project, but they gained momentum after one of their all-vocal music videos went viral. Their social presence jumped dramatically after they released their 1st album in 2017. The all-vocal trio brought their a cappella music to 4 continents in under 6 months before releasing a 2nd album a year later. Their highly anticipated 3rd album is a series of collaborations with pop stars they’ve met around the world.

Though Freedom’s Boombox often sings with other artists, the core trio remains the same. Alfredo, Christopher, and Richard have become favorites of America’s a cappella community over the last decade. They have performed with Pentatonix, Flo Rida, Ben Folds, Sara Bareilles, and on The Daily Show and have worked with hundreds of other vocal groups. After The SingOff in 2011, they joined forces to form The Exchange with 2 friends Aaron and Jamal. The group traveled to every continent (except Antarctica), teaching along the way, touring with the Backstreet Boys, and developing a wide-spread following. The trio stayed together to continue the mission of taking a cappella around the world.

Their mission of reaching the corners of globe with the voice has a deeper purpose. The 3 singers, with experience as instructors, make it a point to teach music and develop hip hop, beatbox, and vocal music programs with aspiring musicians. The dream is to bring these programs to more places in an ongoing journey to provide positive activity alternatives for youth and underserved artists.
