Biography

Huntertones brings people together around the globe with fun, imaginative and fearless music. Their high energy, horn-driven sound features genre bending composition and unconventional covers. Every show is a social experience celebrating the joy of music.

The band formed in Columbus, Ohio and is now based in Brooklyn, NY. They’ve performed in over 20 countriesworld wide and continue to tour the US and abroad. Huntertones claims more authority than ever as they drive into their 10th year, and Time To Play (available August 20th, 2021) puts listeners in the front seat for an epic musical joyride.

We have had the privilege of sharing music in Togo, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Egypt, Georgia, Bolivia, Bermuda, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, and the Caribbean as cultural ambassadors with the US State Department. Something we believe in whole heartedly as a band is equality in every form. Traveling, performing, teaching, and collaborating around the world has taught us to listen and to live with an open mind. Sharing our thoughts and ideas with people from different backgrounds has allowed us to gain insight about perspectives other than our own. That way we can learn from one another, connect, and grow together as human beings focusing on our similarities rather than our
differences.

Part of our overall mission as a band is to continue to find ways to bring quality, accessible music education to as many students in as many different environments as we can. A few other issues we are passionate about are: Climate change and how it disproportionately affects low income communities. Fighting against misinformation, and finding a shared reality based in facts and data rather than conjecture and conspiratorial thinking. Strengthening unity across
all borders whether they are geographic, political, racial, or economic. “Honest, genuine, skillfully executed music without limitations that is uplifting and cannot be quantified.” -Jon
Batiste “Soulful, tasty and groovy. I dare you not to dance or be in a good mood during and after listening to this beautiful music” -Lionel Loueke
